Teller is quoted as saying, "What magicians typically
do is they ...give you a fairy tale story ...and it insults your intelligence. You don't
need somebody to say: 'Look, I'm holding a red ball. Now, I'm putting this into my left
hand.' So I don't talk. I let the audience come up with their own story." To read the

Fun Incorporated which manufactures the Royal Magic line
and is owned by Graham Putnam has agreed to purchase Hampton Ridge Magic Creations, Inc.
which has steadily increased its market share in the past few years and is one of the
leading suppliers of magic to magic shops, web stores and pitchmen. The merger which has
been agreed to in principal has not taken place yet but they expect the transfer to be
finalized by early April. In the long run this will put more pressure on the other large
magic distributors which were also trying to purchase Hampton Ridge. More mergers and
acquisitions might be around the corner.(3/19)
