Jeff Fredriksen is bringing his life story as a magician
to stage in "Jeffrey the Great," an autobiographical
monologue that includes magic, juggling and comedy. Recounting an
experience at an Abbott's competition he said, "I thought I
would make my magician's table collapse...But when I went to
fake-kick the table, I sent it flying off the stage and it almost
nailed the old lady who played the organ accompaniment to all the
acts." About the show he says, "My life story is
simple...I just want to talk about the milestones that keep us
going, and which keep us wondering where we're headed next."
The show runs every Sunday at the Playground Theater (3341 N.
Lincoln Ave.) in Chicago, IL. Admission is $10 per person and
available by phoning: 773-528-5777. To read a Mar. 24 article by
