Carnival
of Wonders 2000 starring Mark Kalin, Jinger Leigh, and Jeff Hobson
which opened last winter at the Flamingo Hilton in Reno, NV has
made some changes and is packing them in. A review of the show
appeared in the The Sacramento Bee which stated, "Clearly,
'Carnival of Wonders' is still the best show in Reno...and they've

Voyage," at the Crystal Palace Casino, Nassau Marriott, in
the Bahamas. The show is dark on Mondays and Thursdays and is

David Copperfield: The Great Escapes is scheduled to air on
Apr. 26 at 8pm on CBS-TV. The new one-hour special will feature
his most dangerous illusions from the past (Fires of Passion,
Niagara Falls Challenge, Imploding Building, Escape from Death,
Water Torture Cell, and Alcatraz) with additional footage of Copperfield behind the scenes at these events. There is a
second special with all new material scheduled for later this year

The 91st Annual Salute to Magic produced by the Parent
Assembly of the Society Of American Magicians takes place on
Saturday Apr. 15 at 8pm at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center (199
Chambers Street) in NYC. This year's lineup includes Mike Caveney,
Tina Lenert, Ardan James, Jania Taylor, Jahmal Keyes & Tiphanny,
and Torkova. In addition to the show Devlin will be receiving the

The
Spencers (Kevin and Cindy) received the Performing Arts
Entertainers of the Year award in March at the national convention
for Arts Presenters held in Boston. This was the sixth consecutive
time that they have received this honor -- an unprecedented
achievement. In a recent survey they were also voted as the
College Entertainers of the Year and appeared on the cover of the
Campus Activities magazine. They are currently winding up their
Spring 2000 tour with plans for a new production beginning in
September.(4/15)Penn & Teller and David Copperfield will be the
subjects of two different episodes of next season's Bravo Profiles
series to air on the Bravo, The Film and Arts Network. The focus
of the shows will be the "exploration of the creative
process, inviting viewers to experience every aspect of the

Held in "Shopping City Süd," Europe's largest Shopping
Center, in Vienna, Austria on Mar. 30- Apr. 8 was the 1st World
Championship of Professional Close-up Magicians sponsored in part
by the IBM-Ring Vienna. The contestants, which were all invited
guests, competed every day for the US $10,000 first prize, with
daily monetary prizes given as well. After the nine days of
performances there were very few points separating the top three
acts. Everything was settled on the last day with Lennart Green
(Sweden) winning first prize, Andrew Goldenhersh (Los Angeles, CA)
finishing second and Carl Andrews (Maui, HI) taking third.(4/16)
