Houdini is discussed in a Georgetown University article
which looks back at the, "time when high-risk acts were the
height of entertainment, building on the most primal fear. Death
is the only thing that scares us more than ghosts, snakes and that
creepy thing that's been under the bed since last Tuesday."
An interesting take by the author on what current performers do
is, "...by today's standards, a good trick is one that is
billed as 'something Houdini would have done,' but only the
greatest performers dare attempt what Houdini actually did."

"Death of peril, rise of panic: Georgetown campus stunts
disappear" click: HERE.(9/5)

follows at 10:30am at the Sacred Heart Church (37 Schuyler Avenue
- 203-324-9644).(9/5)
Paul Daniels' youngest son,
Gary, was found in his home
"...lying face down on his living room floor with his hands
bound behind his back last Tuesday." It appeared to be a
burglary, but the police interrogated Gary and he admitted that he
made up the story. Paul said to The Journal that, "I have
spoken to him and I do believe he was attacked. He is very
frightened, very badly shook up and doesn't want to talk to anyone
about what has happened." To read the Sep. 4 story by Ian
Cross titled "My son's living in fear, says Daniels- Magician
rejects claim that burglary attack was faked" click: HERE.(9/5)
