CANADA:
The Canadian Association of Magicians will be holding its very
first convention on Jun. 8-10 in Waterloo, Ontario. Headlining the
convention is a who's who of Canadian magicians and some guest

Steve Wyrick will be increasing the number of shows per
week from 10 to 12, at the Sahara, beginning on Jun. 11. According
to a Las Vegas Review-Journal story, "The magician says he is
changing some illusions and will have a new ending by the end of
June. He also hopes to have a new beginning in place by his first
anniversary in September, replacing a four-minute video that shows
him cruising the strip like Dan Tanna." Melinda will also be
increasing her shows to 10 per week, at the Venetian, for the

The Sri Lanka Magic Circle celebrated its
79th anniversary
on May 25 with many local dignitaries taking part. According to
the Sari Lanka Daily News "The Minister [Minister of Cultural
Affairs, Hon. Monty Gopallawa] gave Magic its due place in our
Cultural Heritage by offering a piece of land for the Magic Circle
