| 94 YEAR OLD MAGIC SHOW RE-APPEARS IN NEW YORK CITY |
| Source: Society Of American Magicians, Parent Assembly #1 New York City- SALUTE TO MAGIC, the oldest continuing magic show in America returns to Tribeca Performing Arts Center on Saturday, April 27th at 8:00 PM. Presented by the Society of American Magicians, this fun-filled family magic show, which began in New York City in 1909, will feature the exciting illusions of Chuck Jones and Jan. The illusionist started performing at twelve when he appeared on the Johnny Carson Show. Jones will not only cut his lady in-half, but then in- half again in the famous "Mis-Made Girl" illusion which he created. Bill Andrews has been named this year's "Magician of the Year" by the Parent Assembly of the Society of American Magicians and will re-create Howard Thurston's famed "Eggs from Nowhere" illusion with the assistance of two children in the audience. Also appearing will be George Schindler and Nina, who 'pass champagne through a spectator' to remove the bubbles. Additionally, Ted Lee, current President of the New York Assembly, appears as the "Mortician Magician." Gay Blackstone, who entered the world of the magical arts as the assistant to the famed Harry Blackstone, Jr., will both emcee the show and offer a special tribute to the Society which celebrates its centennial anniversary. Tickets are $35.00 for adults and $25.00 for children and seniors.
