| COPPERFIELD DEDICATES HOUDINI STAMP AT MAGICIANS 100TH |
| Source: Society Of American Magicians New York City - On Wednesday, July 3rd at 10:00 AM, famed illusionist David Copperfield will join David Solomon of the New York Metro Postal Service in the dedication of the Houdini postage stamp in conjunction with the Society of American Magicians Centennial Convention at the New York Hilton July 3-6. Harry Houdini is America's most famous escape artist and magician and the Houdini postage stamp will be available at post offices across the country beginning July 5. Houdini served as president of the Society of American Magicians from 1917 until his death on Halloween, October 31, 1926. Although registration is required to attend SAM2002, the stamp ceremony will be free and open to the public. Doors open at 9:45 A.M. and the ceremony will take place in the Grand Ballroom of the New York Hilton. The public is invited to attend a special lecture by Houdini's niece Marie Blood, entitled "Uncle Harry and Me."
