Bear Stearns chairman is sitting in his
corner office on Park Avenue at a table
covered with the tools of a hobby
magician, which he is. “I want you to
take a card and slide it over there
without looking at it,” he says, “and
when my head is turned, I want you to
look at it. Don’t let me see it!” He
shuffles the cards. “Now I’m going to
run my finger down the deck, and you say
‘Stop’ when you want me to stop, okay?”
Stop! Greenberg splits the deck open to
reveal a five of hearts, the card I’d
picked. “It’s a miracle!” he shouts,
resting his hands contentedly on his
belly....

Les Douglas, aged 80 and grandfather of
6, moved into Rosewood House care home
last week and brought laughter and
jollity to the residents with his
enchanting ways.Les suffered from a
heart attack in March while at a meeting
at world renowned club for magicians The
Magic Circle. He then moved into the
Kyle Road home with his wife Audrey
after a hospital stay....

meeting Ray Nordini on her first trip to
New York when she was a teenager at the
TKTS booth. The Great Nordini, as he
liked to call himself, was a magician
and took Ms. Scott to a strange magic
shop in an office building in midtown.
Ms. Scott hasn't been back there since
the early '80s....
